Aurora
AURORA was recorded in 3 days in September and October of 2006 in a vast underground cistern, located in Port Townsend, Washington. The cistern is about 150 feet in diameter, 14 feet high, and round. It’s the most incredible sound chamber I’ve ever experienced. This CD is focused on the sounds of the hang, a new kind of steel drum made in Bern, Switzerland. I hope you enjoy the music.
